Emily Henry Pair — Beach Read & People We Meet on Vacation

Two of my favorite Emily Henry novels. Beach Read (enemies to lovers) follows January and Gus, two writers with opposite instincts in neighboring beach houses. People We Meet on Vacation (friends to lovers) follows Poppy and Alex on twelve years of holidays, and was recently released as a movie!
Both copies began as used trade paperbacks. I've taken off the covers, reinforced the text blocks, cut new binder's board, and cased them into cloth by hand — pale blue for Beach Read, olive for People We Meet on Vacation. Title and author are pressed in gold on the front and spine, and a line from each novel on the back.
The front covers showcase printed panels of:
- Elioth Gruner's "Tamarama Beach" for Beach Read. Gruner is the Australian painter of light.
- Monet's "Palm Trees at Bordighera" (1884) for People We Meet on Vacation. It's an ode to Poppy and Alex's redemption in Palm Springs. Monet saw Bordighera on a trip with Renoir in 1883 and went back alone to paint it, writing that the color needed "a palette of diamonds and jewels"
Each original paperback cover is cut down and finished as a bookmark, and ships inside its book.
Made individually, after you order — allow about 10 business days for binding. Wrapped in kraft paper with a handwritten note, ready to gift.

How it's made
The paperback is taken apart, the text block reinforced, fresh binder's board cut, and the whole cased into cotton bookcloth by hand. Title and author pressed in gold on the spine. Decorative endpapers and a paper bookmark complete the charm.
Every copy is made individually. Small variations in the cloth, the grain, and the placement of the artwork are part of how it's made :)

Each book is bound after you order it. Please allow ten business days before it ships. Every order arrives wrapped in tissue with a handwritten note card — add a message at checkout and I'll write it in :)
